Thank you for your
interest in America’s Ballet School.
America’s Ballet School was founded in 2002 when
Paula
Nunez, Owner and Artistic Director, saw the need in the Tampa community
for a Classical Ballet School. Having established a
successful
ballet school in her native Venezuela, Ms. Paula (as she’s
affectionately known) set out to create a new school here in Florida
that would provide American students with the best training in
Classical Ballet.
Since 2002, ABS has worked with
students from the
age of three to sixty-three to impart on them the fundamentals of
ballet from day one. Each season is highlighted with two
performance opportunities through participating in DanzAmericas
Project, Inc.’s Nutcracker production and in the non-profit’s
end-of-the-school year production of a full-length ballet.
America's Ballet School has been the recipient of the coveted
"Outstanding School" award three years in a row by the Youth American
Grand Prix, the world's largest student ballet competition.
America's Ballet School's students are consistently recognized as
highly trained and accomplished dancers who win competitions, awards
and dance scholarships throughout the United States.
America's
Ballet School is where serious-minded dancers learn ballet. For nearly
20 years, Paula Nunez, founder and internationally acclaimed dancer,
has produced professional dancers who now perform with such
distinguished ballet companies as the Boston Ballet, American Ballet
Theatre, Miami City Ballet, Alonzo King LINES Ballet of San Francisco,
School of American Ballet of New York City, and Julliard.
