ABS is committed to presenting and creating works of extraordinary artistry that are of the highest quality. Students learn choreographic techniques and processes, and apply them to a theme chosen by the school.
Modern & Contemporary
Modern dance uses a greater range of body movements by the use of energy, breath phrasing, fall and rebound contraction and release. Humphrey-Limon, Cunningham, and Release are among the techniques used. Improvisation is also integrated into this class.
We feel it is important for our students to be exposed to different styles of teaching as it makes the dancer more well-rounded.
